POLYRONIAN COMPLEX – SAN BENEDETTO PO (MN)

The Polironian Complex of San Benedetto Po is a vast monastic complex comprising a church, several cloisters, and the Polironian Civic Museum, one of Italy’s leading ethnographic museums. Founded in 1007 by Tedaldo di Canossa and nicknamed the “Montecassino of the North,” it was an important European monastic center, enriched by donations from Matilda of Canossa. The complex boasts a rich artistic history, with the church rebuilt by Giulio Romano, frescoes by Correggio in the refectory, and sculptures and archaeological finds.
Sebino Chiusure supplied REI 60 doors for this site, veneered with dark-stained Italian walnut with a vertical grain. The doors feature a single, solid door frame on both sides, creating two panels.
