The ex Monastery of Sant’Agostino was founded at the end of the 1200s by the Hermits, it was suppressed in 1797 and today it is one of the headquarters of the University of Bergamo. It is located on via delle mura, near the gate of the same name, in the easternmost part of the hills of Bergamo.
The church, rebuilt in the second half of the 15th century by the Augustinians, has a late Gothic sandstone façade with large four-light windows and a single nave interior, with large pointed arches and cycles of frescoes from the 14th and 15th centuries.
