In the heart of Milan, next to the Duomo, stands the Palazzo dei Giureconsulti, one of the most fascinating buildings in the city. Built in 1562 at the behest of Pius IV and designed by the architect Vincenzo Seregni, the palace was originally conceived as the seat of the College of Noble Doctors, where jurists and scholars of law would gather.
Its tower incorporates the remains of an even older medieval structure, the Torre del Comune, which for centuries marked the time of the city. Today, the palace—managed by the Milan Monza Brianza Lodi Chamber of Commerce—is a space dedicated to events, culture, and innovation: a place where Milanese history continues to meet the present.
For this Renaissance jewel, which tells over 450 years of the city’s history, Sebino Chiusure created a two-leaf EI 120 fire-rated door with asymmetrical panels in flamed Tanganika walnut, crafted with panels and frames that form two elegant sections, completed by an applied base molding.
